Mid 2017 the Europe based business to business (B2B) Sharing Platform FLOOW2.com already ventured out to Australia. The company started two asset sharing projects with local business partners in Adelaide and Queensland and, as an addition, the company introduces their online B2B sharing marketplace, this January 2018, to companies in Western Australia.
Together with Australian business partner GenS, an organization specialized in consulting businesses on Circular Economy strategy implementation, they are planning to transform the Western Australian economy into a sharing economy.
“We see a globally growing mind-shift from ownership to access. Many businesses in Europe are already using FLOOW2 to share capacity, like hospitals, large industrial companies or SME’s located at industrial areas. But to our goal is to create a global sharing economy, so we’re glad to collaborate with Gens and to enter Western-Australia this year as well.” – Kim Tjoa, Co-Founder FLOOW2.
There is no doubt that the popularity of the sharing economy is growing, winning ground in Australia. More and more people and businesses are realizing that there is an extensive amount of unused materials and an increase in waste of resources. FLOOW2’s proven sharing economy initiative is a great solution to more efficiently utilise these products and resources, in order to develop our society from a linear towards a circular economy. An economy in which loops are closed and today’s waste will be the resources of tomorrow.
The FLOOW2 platform enables businesses, (healthcare) organizations and government agencies to swap, sell and share equipment, facilities, services, waste and the knowledge and skills of personnel with other companies. Driving down costs, increasing efficiency, flexibility and improving the sustainability focus.
The sharing marketplace gives its users the possibility to facilitate the sharing of their assets, in a secure and transparent environment. Organizations can realize additional turnover by renting out their assets to colleague companies, or they can lower costs by renting temporarily from other organizations as opposed to buying additional capital. Or even share available equipment internally amongst the organization’s own entities, operational sites or departments, reducing the volume of required capital and thereby costs.
Sharing, lending, exchanging and renting amongst businesses creates a positive impact on our environment and our client’s commercial bottom line. By combining GenS’s efforts with FLOOW2’s platform the companies aim to accelerate the introduction of a circular economy in Western Australia.
“We are excited to announce the collaboration between GenS and FLOOW2. We believe this platform offers a value add to GenS’s service offering and brings us a step closer in our aim to implement the circular economy in Australia.” – Rob Kivits, Founder of GenS
